I love Costco's philosophy and business model, but you're so right, the local farmer trumps all. Since I'm a stay at home mom, price is usually (to a point) the bottom line, and buying off my "dream food list" (all organic & local) is more of a luxury item. But I was granted a one-day organic shopping spree the day after Mark watched Food Inc!
